Programmes From The Past – 2023/24 Season

Following the success of last season’s programme covers, I returned to design more retro inspired match programmes for Shrewsbury Town FC’s 2023/24 season.

This time I revisited programmes from across the club’s history and brought them into the modern era by featuring current players and iconography in the format of past programmes.

I tried to keep as close to the source material as we could, which meant replicating logos and sourcing typefaces to keep each edition faithful.

Across the season and thanks to guidance from the team at Shrewsbury Town FC, I was able to highlight key matches, such as Shrewsbury’s FA Cup clash against Wrexham AFC, and even welcome the club’s mascots, Blue the lion and Amber the lioness, to the programme covers.
